Shannon completed a BScN of Nursing in 2008 at University of Western Ontario and went off to complete Masters of Nursing in Advanced Nursing Practice in 2016 and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario and Alberta.  From a clinical perspective, she practices in primary care, sports medicine and hormone replacement. She is an Assistant professor and curriculum renewal and program evaluation faculty analyst with NOSM University focused on major curriculum renewal in UME.  As COO and lead clinician for Move Medicine, she has worked to create a clinic dedicated to optimizing movement across the lifespan using sport and exercise medicine, concussion care, ultrasound guided injection techniques, headache management and the Well Weight Program. She is the co-founder of Prosper Menopause Clinic, offering menopause and perimenopause care and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Shannon publishes research in process improvement, interprofessional care and concussion care strategies, including being the lead for Sudbury in establishing a provincial data set for concussion research in Ontario.  In her spare time, she shares her passion for volunteerism, outdoor adventure and sport with her husband and 2 children.
